Physocarpus opulifolius

New

Delightful small-leaved, compact dwarf cultivar. A miniature Physocarpus opulifolius 'Diabolo'. Dark burgundy stems covered with thin, deeply incised dark burgundy-purple leaves with rich green hues on this fully branched dwarf form. The foliage is accented with white button flowers that turn pale pink in spring and summer. A useful compact shrub for small urban gardens, mass plantings or low-maintenance landscaping. Deciduous. The calyxes after the petals have fallen are also very ornamental.
